MERTSOM started the nut production with one set of nut former in 1983 under the name of Ümit Kıvılcım. In 2000 Ümit Kıvılcım was bought by Mertsom and after the company transfer, Mertsom continued its machinery investment so as to meet special requirements of the domestic market with its cold forming 5 and 6 stations of part formers.
